in order for me to do work during my internship, i need a desk with a computer so i can make calls to people who owe Citibank money and ask them to pay up. however, because Citibank recently hired too many temporary staff in anticipation of the three interns including me leaving, there was no more desks for us to use. usually the idea was that everyday there would be some permanent staff on leave so we could take their seats and call but i think they never expected days where all the permanent staff are at work.

so me and the other two interns just sat at the pantry the whole day doing nothing / think of suggestions to improve the credit control management unit / sleep. i just stared into the Marina Bay skyline most of the time. i like how the skies are so clear and blue. best day of my internship ever because i go to work and get paid to do absolutely nothing. cross my fingers i hope that tomorrow we have no seats again. i’m not a slacker but these “special” situations are more than welcome in my day.
